Berkeley Kite Festival

We hit the Berkeley Kite Festival this afternoon, seemed way busier than last year, and the traffic trying to get out was dire, but it was a fun afternoon.

I took a ton of pictures of the Rokkaku kite battles, but none of them really give a good indication of what's going on, the drumming group (based in Emeryville i think) was really good.

And its always amazing to see Ray Bethell in action.

New Camera

Yes, I'm enjoying the new camera, even a photo dummy like me can get some decent results. (the cactus photo is still my favorite) Now I'm spending most of my time on the mac, I burnt an evening importing my existing 2000 odd photos into iPhoto, its the most organized they've been to date. At some point i should start reading up on some of the 6 million settings, but not yet :)
